The Funniest Bus Stop Conversation

I was sitting at a bus stop yesterday when a very pregnant woman took a seat beside a tiny 3-year-old boy and his mom. The boy stared at her with the most serious expression, studying her belly like it was the eighth wonder of the world.

After a long pause, he finally spoke:

“Why do you look so fat?”

His mom gasped, mortified. The woman laughed kindly and said, “I’m not fat, sweetheart. I have a baby inside me.”

The boy’s eyes grew huge.

“A BABY? Is it a good baby?”

She smiled. “Yes, it’s a very good baby.”

He nodded, thinking hard… then hit her with the most unexpected question:

“Then why did you EAT it?”

Everyone around us burst out laughing—his mom turned red, the woman nearly cried laughing, and the boy just sat there, completely confused about why adults were losing their minds.

Kids don’t mean to be rude. They just say exactly what they’re thinking—no filter, no hesitation, pure honesty.

And sometimes, that honesty gives us the funniest moment of the day.
