Xiaomi has confirmed to launch its latest flagship smartphone – Xiaomi 13 Pro in India on February 26, 2023, following the introduction of the phone in China last December. This is the latest smartphone from the company which was co-designed with Leica after the Xiaomi 12S series, which was not launched outside of China.
With this, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will finally be rolled out worldwide. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed if it plans to launch the Xiaomi 13 in India, but that might not happen as the company only launched the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone in India and skipped the base Xiaomi 12 model.
The global launch of the Xiaomi 13 series is expected to take place around the same time as the launch event is scheduled for 9:30 PM IST on February 26, 2023.
Xiaomi said the launch will be streamed live on Xiaomi’s official website mi.com and Indian Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts.
As a reminder, the phone packs a 6.78-inch 2K E6 Samsung AMOLED LTPO flexible display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 12GB RAM and large VC liquid cooling area.
The phone has three 50MP rear cameras with the main camera featuring a 1″ ultra-wide Sony IMX989 sensor, Leica optics, 8 aspherical lenses, ALD ultra-low reflectance coating, an ink coating for the lens edge, a new cyclic olefin material and a process IR spin-filter coated to achieve the same optical quality as Xiaomi 12S Ultra. There is also HyperOIS support.
There’s also a 50MP 115° ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera. The phone also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It has a 4,820mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
