Last month, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ received the January 2023 security patch. However, the update was only available for international variants of the three devices. Today, the company is extending the January 2023 security patch to carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+.
New update for Galaxy S10 series carrier unlocked models comes with firmware version G97xU1UES8IWA1. It contains the January 2023 security patch which resolves more than fifty security issues in the devices. The update is currently rolling out to devices across many networks, including AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.
As usual, if your smartphone has not notified you of the latest update, go to Settings » Software update then press Download and install to manually check for the new update. But if you still don’t see anything and want to get your hands on the new update, you can download it from our database and flash it manually.
Four years have passed since the release of the Galaxy S10, but Samsung still releases quarterly security updates for smartphones. This shows the company’s strong commitment to security updates on its smartphones. If you are planning to get a new flagship from Samsung, you might want to look at the Galaxy S23 series.
