For 2023, the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards resumed its regular lineup and was held in Los Angeles! On the red carpet, dresses swept and shimmered with every camera flash this Sunday, January 15. While some looks stood out more than others, these were the best best-dressed charts for the night.

Niecy dazzled in a custom pale yellow Jason Wu gown and Jacob & Co. jewelry, styled by Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald. She was made up by Porsche Cooper and styled by Robbi Rogers.

Both on the red carpet and as she delivered a moving acceptance speech for her Critics Choice Award win last night, Sheryl Lee Ralph looked like a living, breathing award herself in a custom Jovana Louis – stylish look by his daughter Ivy Coco Maurice. Her makeup was done by Mila Thomas.

Anya Taylor-Joy looked dashing in a sheer, stoned Christian Dior gown that featured a full, structured skirt. With the scalloped and fish scale embroidered design and stone embellishments, we know the dress had to look all the more beautiful in person. With every detail from the hairstyle to the makeup, the perfectly matched nude dress color and the simple styling between the choice of necklace and shoe, it’s a 10 all the way!

Styled by Alexandra Mandelkorn, Janelle Monae arrives in personalized Vera Wang haute couture and Messika Joaillerie accessories. Her hair was styled by Nikki Nelms with makeup by Keita Moore and nails manicured by Angie Aguirre.

Quinta Brunson wore Robert Wun SS23 RTW to the event, styled by Bryon Javar. Her earrings were provided by Amrapali Jewels, rings donated by REZA and Graziella, hair styled by the talented Alexander Armand, makeup by Renee Loiz and manicure by Temeka Jackson.

In a Christian Siriano strapless dress, Messika jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch, Angela Bassett dressed by Jennifer Austin for the evening. Randy Stodghill styled his hair in a pulled back ponytail with a side parting, and MUA D’Andre Michael took care of his pace.

In a sparkling Maison Valentino gown and Messika Jewelry gemstones styled by Elizabeth Stewart, Viola Davis looked stunning as she attended the awards ceremony with her hubby. For her hair, she entrusted Jamika Wilson and makeup by Sergio López-Rivera.

Dressed by Law Roach., Kerry Washington wore Bulgari jewelry and an Armani Privé dress. Carola Gonzalez did her makeup while Takisha Sturdivant-Drew handled the hair.

Elle Fanning opted for a deconstructed Alexander McQueen SS23 dress styled by Samantha McMillen.

Cate Blanchett wore Spring 2023 in a Max Mara dress from the upcoming collection. This look says posed, relaxed but elegant, just like Cate.
