nubia introduced the new REDMAGIC 8 Pro smartphone for global markets, following its introduction in China last month. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS4.0 storage. The company claims to have scored 1,348,653 points on AnTuTu.
It features a 6.8-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming + DC dimming, brightness of 1300 nits and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.7%, thanks to 1.48mm narrow side bezels.
There’s the Magic ICE 11.0 cooling system with built-in fan + pass-through air duct, the world’s first 2068mm³ 3D ice-level dual-pump VC liquid cooling, graphene under the display and up to 10 layers of materials cooling, so the surface temperature of the whole machine body drops 16°C. Magic GPU optimization automatically stabilizes the frame engine to optimize frame drop scenarios providing the best gaming experience.
There is a built-in independent “Red Core 2” game chip to improve shoulder touches, improve vibration, set game lighting effects and improve sound effects. It features 520Hz tactile sampling shoulder triggers, X-axis linear motor and 1115K+1216 ultra-linear stereo speakers, Snapdragon Sound technology for up to 96 output kHz with a low latency of 48 ms.
The phone features a 50 MP 1/1.57 inch Samsung GN5 sensor and a 16 MP under-screen front camera. It packs a 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
