The couple promises to lead a healthy life!
It’s no secret that everyone desires a long, healthy and happy life together. To achieve this, it’s crucial to have a healthy daily routine and make healthy choices to stay on track.
Vaneeta Batra, transformational life coach and fitness enthusiast, told Health Shots how to live a healthy life.

Batra says love will only blossom if you are healthy. When you promise your other half that you will be there for each other and support each other in all situations, it is very important that your body is healthy to keep the promise. So on this day of promise, promise each other these promises.
Here are 5 couple promises for a better life:
1. Stop eating junk food
Junk food does more harm than good! They are not only high in calories, but contain very little dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals or other important forms of nutritional value. They can leave you exhausted, bloated, and unable to focus in the short term. Over time, this can lead to bad bowel habits and dental health issues. Couples should commit to giving up junk food, or at least they will try. Make a strategy and gradually reduce your consumption of junk food.
2. Exercise
Sitting too long and not doing physical activities can be harmful to your health. Your energy level may decrease and your health problems may worsen. Therefore, stay active often. Batra says, “Maintaining health through exercise is one of the most important health goals you can set for yourself. You can train at home or you can both join a gym. Be sure to stick to your schedule and make time for exercise. Do not lead a sedentary life either!

3. Switch to organic foods
It is crucial that you have a nutritious diet if you want to stay healthy and prevent future health problems. Healthy organic foods that increase immunity include strawberries, apples, peaches, celery, grapes and cherries. This is because they contain certain flavonoids, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, all of which promise you a long and healthy life. Also, reduce your sugar intake, eat more green vegetables, and spice up your meals with herbs and spices.

4. Count Calories
One of the most harmful variables that raise the possibility of additional health issues is weight gain. You must therefore be very careful about the number of calories you consume. According to Batra, “Counting your calories every time you eat will help you keep track of what you eat and what changes you can make to your diet to eat healthier.” This way you can avoid unwanted weight gain.

5. Cook or learn to cook
You can spend time enjoying each other’s company while cooking together at home. Additionally, cooking at home has some overlooked health benefits, such as eating fewer calories, eating mindfully, and sticking to a nutritious diet. Even Batra agrees that by doing this you will eat healthier and be able to stick to your diet better.
