While the weather outside may not indicate the imminent arrival of spring (at least not where I am in New York), warmer temperatures are indeed on the horizon. This, to me, means one thing: it’s time to start thinking about ways to transform my winter wardrobe into a spring wardrobe without my wardrobe finally taking over the last few square feet. remaining in my SoHo apartment. It’s not an easy job, but it’s one I look forward to every year. And the first clothing genre on my agenda is sandals, also known as the basic shoes that I will be wearing the most in the coming months.
Last season, the sandals space was dominated by pillow-top flip flops, pastel slides and every fashion girl’s favorite style, fisherman sandals. But as with most other recent trends, these are already starting to feel stale after seeing them all over the world. everywhere-from Positano, Italy, to my own garden (aka the corner seat of Cafe Fanelli, where you can people-watch as shoppers step out of Prada).
