OPPO has introduced A78 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone, in India following the launch of A17k last year. It packs a 6.56-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and is compatible with all Indian service providers including Jio, Vodafone and Airtel (on SA networks and NSA).
It runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top. The phone has a 50 MP rear camera with a 2 MP portrait sensor and an 8 MP front camera inside the notch. The phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and up to 8 GB of virtual RAM with RAM expansion.
The back has polished rings around the camera module and a pattern of glowing lights extending to the back plate; its OPPO Glow treatment produces a shimmering, smudge-resistant matte finish.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging via USB Type-C.

Price and availability
The OPPO A78 5G is available in Glowing Blue and Glowing Black colors and is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB model. It will be available in India at major retail outlets, OPPO E -Store and Amazon from January 18, 2023.
