Kim Kardashian seems to be resurrecting another hairstyle trend from the mid-2000s: long, face-framing bangs. Instead of dramatic curtain bangs (like the version Khloé tried on for a recent photo shoot), Kim’s new ‘do’ is more reminiscent of Andy Sachs before the makeover in The devil wears Prada.
The reality star modeled the new hairstyle on her Instagram Stories, with several clips of her ruffling her bangs while wearing a variety of Skims pieces. “We cut the bangs, guys,” Kardashian says in a clip, as Ariana Grande’s “Imagine” plays in the background and Kardashian jokes with her stylist Chris Appleton, who is off camera.
Kardashian appears to have gotten the new cut just in time for the Skims Valentine’s Day pop-up at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. In another IG post, she wrote how meaningful this event is to her. “Have mine [Skims] The Century City mall pop-up store means the world to me in so many ways,” the text read. “It was the mall that my friends and I begged our parents to go hang out with every weekend growing up. This little girl never dreamed that I would have my own store here and I couldn’t be prouder of all my [SKims] team for making my wildest dreams come true.”
