When it comes to navigating trends, the editors of Who What Wear know their way around the block. Apologies for honking our own horn, but we’ve become experts at navigating through the hundreds of pages of new arrivals, the latest collections and photos on the internet of what everyone is wearing. We also like to focus on each market, but we recently focused on the Gen Z buyer. So we decided to check out our Gen Z editors who have quite similar tastes and are always discussing what’s new, from the buzzy bag on our wish lists to the red carpet fashion moment that has everyone in awe. Many people can make an effort to move away from stereotypes of their age, but Gen Z has decided to fully embrace them.
Below, we’ve polled the under-25 crowd at Who What Wear to get some insight into the trends they’re prioritizing in 2023 and passing on so far. Style is subjective, so this is by no means a do’s and don’ts story, but feel free to take inspiration wherever you find it. And a fair warning: these choices could show up quite early in your algorithm.
