Samsung’s Game Optimization Service (GOS) is not something the company would have wanted to be associated with. This created a ruckus among Galaxy S22 owners as the Game Optimization Service (GOS) throttled the CPU and GPU and did not deliver the promised high frame rate when gaming.
While Game Optimization Service (GOS) prevented Galaxy phones from overheating, it reduced screen resolution and GPU performance, not providing optimal gaming experience. In the past, GOS could be easily disabled, but that changed with the One UI 4.0 update. Last year, after all the controversy, Samsung added a toggle via an update that allowed users to disable the Game Optimization Service (GOS) while playing games.
Now, according to Android Authority, the Game Optimization Service (GOS) returns with the Galaxy S23 series. It does, however, include the ability to limit CPU and GPU on a specific Galaxy S23 model. Simply put, you will be able to enable or disable the Game Optimization Service (GOS) as you wish on your Galaxy S23. The upgraded cooling system of the Galaxy S23 line would also help in achieving an awesome gaming experience.
FYI, Galaxy S23 cooling system is supposed to be 1.6 times better than Galaxy S22. On the other hand, the cooling system of Galaxy S23+ is 2.8 times better than that of Galaxy S22+, while the internal cooling of Galaxy S23 Ultra is 2.3 times better than that of Galaxy S22 Ultra.
