Samsung’s firmware releases don’t seem to be slowing down, no matter what other major events the company is busy with. CES has come and gone, and the tech giant is gearing up to release the Galaxy S23 series next month, but despite the busy schedule, new updates continue to arrive at a steady pace. Samsung has now released a new firmware update for the Galaxy A52 5G.
The latest update rolled out for the Galaxy A52 5G introduces the January 2023 security patch. The package carries A526BXXU1DWA6 identification and judging by the firmware version, the update may include other changes and additions in addition to the latest security patch for the month of January.
The January 2023 security update resolves numerous issues with the Android operating system. More than 50 “high” vulnerabilities are fixed with the January release. The new security patch also fixes some vulnerabilities regarding Samsung Knox, Secure Folder, NFC, etc.
At the moment, the availability of the new update seems to be limited to Australia, but other markets should follow. As usual, Galaxy A52 5G users can attempt to trigger the update from the Settings app on their phones by accessing “Software update” and typing “Download and install.” You can also download official firmware files from our website if you prefer manual updates via PC.
