As a fashion editor, I naturally tend to make quite a long list of things I want to buy all the time. Most of the time, this list consists of basics and a few fashionable thrills, but it also includes a few key luxury purchases, especially designer bags. Let’s just say, if money weren’t an issue, I’d have a closet full of serene, minimalist pieces from brands like The Row, Khaite and Totême. But since I, in fact, have a ceiling on my buying budget, I’m looking to emulate that aesthetic goal with a slightly more affordable budget.
Enter what I call the best mid-range designer bags. Before I can really afford to buy a bag from the designers mentioned above, I look at a number of bags from contemporary brands such as Manu Atelier, Staud and BY FAR that are more comfortably within my budget. Ahead, check out the 10 midrange designer bags I’m seriously considering investing in because they look ultra high and are within my budget (nothing over $900 here, which is honestly pretty good when it comes to designer bags). With that, keep seeing the totes I’m looking at.
