The Galaxy A41 joins dozens of Samsung devices that have already received the January 2023 security patch. This aging phone no longer receives One UI firmware updates, but it still receives security patches on a bi-annual schedule. That being said, a new update for the Galaxy A41 is a rare occurrence these days.
Luckily, you probably won’t have to wait for the January 2023 security update to reach your Galaxy A41, as the new firmware is rolling out to many markets simultaneously. It is available in dozens of countries across Europe, as well as in Caucasus countries and Uzbekistan. The update can be identified by the firmware version A415FXXS2DWA2.
You can check our firmware page to see where the update is now available. And if available, you can download the official firmware files for your region if you prefer to update your Galaxy A41 manually using a PC. Otherwise, you can open the Settings app on your phone, access “Software update,” and press “Download and Install” to try to trigger the OTA update.
The January 2023 security patch fixes more than 50 “high” vulnerabilities in the Android operating system (some of which may not even affect the Galaxy A41) and also resolves some issues with Samsung software regarding Secure Folder, Samsung Knox and other features.
